Would you say that the environment is in “good shape” right now?

Or do you think otherwise?
Like I mean yeah there are problems with the environment right now such as global warming, pollution, etc but its still sustainable and we can still live comfortably on earth... there are people, groups who are moving to protect the environment so I would say that it is... whats your take on it?
 
I wouldn't say it's in great shape right now. Emissions (from cars and homes) have shot up since the industrial revolution. Everyone thinks that we are going to be okay and that it's not a big problem, but if we don't take more action now, in a few years it's going to be in terrible shape. We, if you mean americans, can live comfortably, because we're one of the most developed countries out there and the government ensures our comfort. But poorer countries are already feeling the effects of global climate change, and are more motivated to help(but can't because are too poor). If the US uses more of its plentiful supply of money(after fixing the economy) to help the earth, it could really be a huge help.
