i am thinking about getting my 2007 honda civic repossessed. i just can't handle the car payments any more. so i am looking into buying a used car from a private seller. so far i have two options. a 1994 honda prelude. or a 2001 mitsubishi eclipse. so i'm looking for suggestions. here are the pros and cons about each car.
prelude:
pros- $1,800, got a new engine about 5 years ago, comes with aftermarket rims, and has an "explode" sound system.
con- it was declared a salvage in a car accident 10 years back
eclipse:
pros- gt, newer, 88,000 miles, great condition, $4,000.
con- i'm only 18 and i have no money so my dad has to lend me the money and he would rather lend me less.
so my question is which would be a better buy, and why? if its the eclipse, how do i convince my father?
