Would you purchase automotive insurance if it was not required by law?

Out of all the insurance available, the only one you are required to have by law is automobile insurance. You are not required by law to have medical, dential, homeowners or fire insurance to survive and yet, you are required to have automobile insurance.

If automobile insurance was optional and not required, would you purchase it? Why or why not?
