consultation with a Pharmacist? Would you or someone you know be willing to pay to be counseled, ask questions, discuss your medications and drug therapy with a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharmacist) over the phone or online via chat? Do you think you would benefit from such a consultation? How much would you be willing to pay for a consultation/session?
I know most of you will say you can get this through your local pharmacist. But your local pharmacist is more often than not very busy and doesn't explain or answer questions thoroughly. Would you pay for a monthly subscription for consultation sessions or pay-per-sessions?
Thanks!
CVS/Walgreens websites will just give you information about a drug. Not specifically tailored to what that drug is doing in your body given your physiological situation. Every patient is different and every drug responds differently in that patient. Numerous interactions exist and some drugs may work better for you than others. The pharmacist in this situation can directly speak with your MD and bring about change/reflect light onto a given problem. Drug Info. websites will never tell YOU what is right for YOU or not. With the drug combines with your body it becomes a totally new entity; thats not something a website can tell you. You need a pharmacist to make a judgment and to analyze your specific problems.
Hope that helps understanding the need for this.
