Here is the idea. It's kind of like the super bowl for the World's Military industrial complex. Every 50 years, there is a World War.
Rules are;
- No Nuclear weapons.
- Bombing/air strikes of population centers is discouraged, but not strictly prohibited.
- Nations that do not participate in the World War or join/support an Axis or Allie have to be actively engaged in a civil war.
- Nations that are engaged in a civil war may only be invaded if bordering with a nation that is on an Axis or Allied side.
- The World war is to last 5 years. All territory siezed is retained by the occupying nation.
Among other rules
5 years after the World War, Tacticians, Historians, Academic types decide on various awards for a massive Awards show "The World War Awards"
A sample of Categories include;
- Best Infantry; Light, Medium, Heavy
- Best Artillery and Tank divisions
- Best Special Forces Units
- Best Militia Units (Special Forces like units, with personnel that have no formal training, nor apart of the Armed services)
- Best Logistics & material support
- Best Intelligence agency
- Best Medical Unit
- Best Armed Services Morale, Welfare & Recreation unit
- Best War Time Police services (The Police service has to be the occupied police service. ie Paris Police during WWII, when the Germans occupied France.)
- Best Military Police Services
