Would you have let Cindy McCain appear on dancing with the stars?

John McCain will not let here go. Ok maybe I am just a sheltered single crazy Liberal but my question is. Why did Cindy have to ask permission in 2009? Or is the media behind the times? Can`t John understand that it is very important to her and that he would be more of a man to let Cindy go and just suck it up. Besides thinking like a conservative, it would make "him" look good so there is something in it for "him".

DAncing with the Stars is considered a "comeback" chance for "has-beens". It would have been degrading and inappropriate for a potential First Lady. Besides, he may run again in 2012.

He thinks it will look bad for him. I don't know why.
Unfortunately, there are MANY women in the 21st century that still have to ask their husbands permission, or feel that they do. Unfortunately, some women never got the memo or didn't want to actually have their own thoughts, goals, without their husband's approval.
It's sad, only because she has talked about this repeatedly, about wanting to be a part of it and wanting to see if she could win.

No, Princess McCain might break a hip because she's so fragile handshaking breaks bones.

I would have liked to have seen her on the show. She never seemed that warm or approachable during the campaign. I would have really liked to have seen a glimpse of the real Cindy McCain. I can understand talking it over with your spouse. It takes up a lot of time...you are rehearsing pretty much every day for as long as you last. It's a huge commitment. She let him run for President, he should have let her have her moment.

She is a class act. People in a good marriage such as theirs consult with one another when planning to do or thinking about doing something major that involves publicity.
