...predeccessor to come out in March? Considering an LG 26LE5300. It's a 26". Only 720p and 60hz, but 3m:1 contrast, and 2.4ms. IPS Panel. 1366 x 768
May get a blu ray player. Other than that just going to watch non HD TV until upgrade.

My viewing distance, probably around 4-6 feet.

They have really good 1080p 22"-24" TVs.

I read 1080p and 720p almost look the same on smaller TVs under 32". If so, then is it really neccessary to get full HD for a 26 or 24"????

This will be about a 7 year investment, or at least until they come out with the SUPER HD!

Also, the LG 26LE5300 is in it's prime. The new models are already up, and coming out in March.
The predecessor of this model will have 10M: 1 ratio, and the 26" will be 1080, 120HZ I'm pretty sure.
It will Probably be an extra 200$ since it will be brand new in March.

Is it worth waiting until March to get the 10M:1 contrast ratio with 1080, 120, predecessor model for the extra 200$?
