I have an idea for a potential best-selling video game.
It is a disaster surviving video game, since I really like the games Disaster Report and Raw Danger.
I would call the game, "Nature's Fury."
It would be for the PS3, Wii, 360, and PC.
The game is basically where you have to survive a major disaster or disasters and their aftermath.
First of all, you make a character. Name, age, race, gender, clothing style, hair style, eye color, hair color, facial hair (men only), and accessories. The clothing also has to be appropriate for the time of year, unless the city you are in is in either the tropics or cold-year round.
Then, the game will do a randomizer with 3 slots. Slot 1 is the city, Slot 2 is the disaster, and Slot 3 is the time of year. Once it is selected, you begin.
Your character starts by doing normal activities, then the disaster hits and you have to survive. There would be additional disasters (fires, falling debris, collapsing buildings, etc.) as the level progresses.
During the duration of the level, you find survivors and help them. By helping them, you gain trust. Once you gain trust, they'll join you. Some people will just be plain stubborn and refuse, but you can still have them come if you do a request that they have. You can only have a maximum of 10 survivors.
For example, if you help a badly injured woman with her wounds, you'll gain some trust from her.
Some of them may be badly hurt, so you may need a first-aid kit.
But you can lose trust too, like if a survivor dies and you could have saved them, you'll lose trust from the others. If you completely lose all trust, they will get mad and leave you.
You'll also have to drink and eat. If you don't do either of those things, you'll die of dehydration or lose energy. You'll also have to feed the survivors and such.
It would go through day and night and have weather conditions.
The game would follow most laws of physics and human reactions. There would also be side missions to help you survive.
There would be 100 real major world cities, but when you start a new game only 25 are available. There are over 30 disasters, but only 10 are available when you start a new game. You unlock additional cities and disasters as you go.
Once you complete one game, a "Free roam" opens up. You choose the city, disaster and time of year. The only mission is to survive.
Some disasters can only happen in certain cities. For example, a tsunami can only happen in a city that has a coast or very large body of water. A hurricane can only happen at a coast.
You can also have family members with you. They already have high amounts of trust, but can also lose trust as well. Family members share the same last name as you.
The normal activities before the disaster include shopping, school, swimming, etc. In fact, it would be the opening tutorial.
The normal things beforehand would last only a minute or two while some radios and TVs announce the possibility of the disaster. Then, it'll hit. If your character is in a public place, an announcement will come on and the people will panic.
It would be easier to store items you collect in a bag. It can be a shopping bag, briefcase, purse (only if you're a female character) and other things. You character can drop them, but I wouldn't recommend it. You can have fellow survivors carry bags as well.
The 100 world cities would be split up into 4 sections. American cities, European cities, Asian cities, and "Other". Other cities are ones that don't fit in the previous 3 sections.
So, what do you think? If this game came out, would you buy it?
Here are all the major cities.
If your hometown or city where you currently live is listed, don't be mad.
