Would you buy this Trek Madone SL 5.2 road bike without knowing how many miles are

on it/crashes? I contacted the seller (ebay) and haven't heard back from him. All I've seen is the ebay bid price go up from $835 to $867 in the past two days. There is only a day/half left to bid on it. It seems like a good bike for me, being young and only my first purchase (though I rode a borrowed 1996 cannondale r600 with shimano tiagra/sora parts on it that had 30,000+ miles on it and was breaking down). It's carbon. Worth $3500 as the listing says. Ultegra parts. No notice on how much damage it really has endured although I doubt it has because the seller lists it as in 'good condition' with few scratches and recently tuned up. How many miles? Dunno... How good are the teeth on the crankset? How much have the Bontrager tires been used? Dunno...
This seems like a good deal to not go for, but I am unsure a bit here.

Comes with a pretty nice saddle. I like that saddle choice with flames. Look comfortable enough. I hated the seat on the cannondale. If I miss this opportunity, I'm not sure if I should be disappointed or not. There seems to be a lot of good bikes on ebay for a good price, but THIS particular bike is the same price as some other bikes with a LOT less pluses.
The Trek Madone seems like a great bike.
never mind. I just got word that it has 3000 miles, no crashes and the teeth on the crankset are okay.
hell, you can reply to my question anyway if you want to
thanks
Hmmm...I was just thinking - should the pedals accomodate any shoe type? Are pedals pretty standard to match most shoes clips?
Great, thank you. Yes, I was looking for either a Trek or a Cannondale in my search.

Yes, Erik is a strong name. Awesome name! Thanks! Makes me feel great today!
