Would you believe me if I told you that my parents are overprotective abusers? They hold me back from anything?

I am not agains't family or parents, don't get me wrong. But they are truly messed-up, like I'm 23, they won't let me drive, go out, and treats me like a baby, but I'm not... They had already hold me back from so many things in life!!!... They are sick!....

Do you know other parents as such?....

I tried to gain my independence, but it wasn't completely successful...

I think you are the only child for your parents. It happens in most of the families where the parents has only one child.
