that you are a christian and have a reputation of being one but then your daughter ruins your reputation by having premarital sex. I know i would because people would question me about being a good mother and ect.

I am an Taoist/Atheist, all of my children were planned and conceived after marriage, and so were all five of my grandchildren. I taught my children to use good judgment and/or good protection. Seems to me that Sarah missed that class along with several others!
 
NO, just the opposite, but I am probably not as virtuous pure and Godly as you (though I would like to be).We all sin, we all fail. The daughter just did something she shouldn't have. So !! No use killing or torturing her, and the baby is the good that comes out of it. A Christian is not a person who never sins. That kind of attitude will send you to Hell on a Japanese air magnet train. I need someone to explain to me how she had a reputation for being a Christian. From what we were told, her reputation was not very good, and had nothing to do with being Christian.Her daughter didn't ruin her mother's reputation, or her own. Exposed hypocrisy? Potentially.God bless you.

When the cats away, the mice play. Christians do not condemn or judge Governor Palin. She tries to be a Great Mother, but she is a busy Mother. And like I say, when the cats away the mice play. It's not easy to be a Mother. Everyone likes to blame the Mother. People always say, where was the Mother when this is going on. You will find out, when you become a Mother of a teenager. Governor Palin has been through a lot, especially with the Party she was in. Everyone picked on the Governor. Just slide your feet, into her shoes. Tie the laces , don't leave them loose . And when you do, then you shall see, how could she change , what was to be.

We are all sinners. Her daughter made a mistake. I am sure she was saddened by this. We have all done many things we are sorry for. Wait. When your children grow up and start making their own mistakes it will put you through much agony. I am sure your mother and my mother went through some of the same anguish.
 
Why? Like kids ever listen to their parent's anyway. Why is it her fault her daughter slept around? That doesn't mean she wasn't, isn't a good mother. When we are kids we think we know everything and don't listen to our parents and some rebel, some drink, do drugs, whatever, and sorry but some girls believe the crap that guys tell them when they are young. Everyone, wants the best for their kids and one does teach them right from wrong etc etc etc, but a parent cannot be with their child 24/7 and at some point that child has to make a decision. Everyone is accountable for their Own actions.look at all the girls who at Mardi Gras show their breasts for beads, or on spring break and they all go wild, drinking, sex, drugs, etc etc etc are you saying that they all came from Bad parents? Kids do whatever they want and we as parents can only hope they make the right choices.......
 
actually, I find this question rather amusing only in regards to a couple of answers you received belittling Palin when their answers were she should kill herself. I guess the people who wrote those answers suggesting that someone should kill themselves had horrible mothers and obviously did not raise them correctly.
 
No, I'd be proud -- proud that my daughter is so strong and so moral that she carries her baby to term rather than killing him to avoid shame and scandal.
 
I'd be embarrassed by lying about the Bible and telling people premarital sex is a sin and promoting Abstinence Only Education.
