would transmission fluid be a reason my car wont start?

well i bought a bmw a year ago and its been sitting the guy said it neds fluid i guess or a swap of fluid so only been sitting for like a year but ran fine and smooth when i bought it filled up the tank and all and still wont start any ideas battery is charged also model is a 1992 bmw 325i i have the new fluid but its a forgien car so idk how to put it in
