Would Tmo replace a defective 8700 for 8100?

Ok, so I called Tmo. The tech support was very good, although nothing was said that I didn't already know. One suggestion was to wip the device, and not restore any of the applications or stored configuration options. If that doesn't work, then a replacement is in order.

As far as the Pearl upgrade is concerned, he said not at this time. I'm sure I could have pressed the issue, but there's no need. The Peal would be nice, but I wouldn't cancel my account over it -and I'm not a good liar So, an 8700g replacement is in my future.

Again, thanks to all for the help! If I was a better actor, perhaps I could have made it happen. I'll be a good consumer and just check Ebay if the urge for a Pearl overtakes me.
