Would this help boost the signal on my PS3?

I was thinking of getting a Belkin 802.11g Wireless G Gaming Adapter to boost the signal from my router to the PS3 as it only has about 30% signal. Would it increase it if it was plugged into the back of the PS3 via the ethernet port?

Help MUCH appreciated!
