I am 15 years old and of asian descent. I recently read in a magazine that girls who get their periods at an earlier age will be shorter than their counterparts (because apparently after a girl gets her period her growth plates fuse together). I got my period when I was 10 and have remained the same height ever since (which, if you're interested to know, is 4'8). All my other friends got their periods at 12-13 years of age and are all much taller than me (even though some are of asian descent like me). Could my short height have been caused by getting my period too early?
Would this have affected my height growth?
