if fighting hadn't occurred, was a revolution still inevitable? Did the Revolution occur because of political problems, or was social problems involved too?

yes. eventually the colonists would have grown tired of the taxes and laws being imposed on them by the British. they would have wanted to get rid of the occupation somehow, even without fighting. but in a situation like that it is nearly impossible to gain that kind of change without violence. most of the cause for the revolution was political, although the social climate of the colonies was dictated by the policies of the British government.
