for hitlers meddling?
cause during the end of ww2 hitler had gone completely out of his mind. he considered himself a strategic genius and was convinced that D-day was just a distraction( which mean that he knew about it and didn't trust his officers which said that it really was an invasion) and all he did was to send The hitlerjugend division, 16 000 highly trained teenagers. they was ordered to defend the city of coen(in normandie) . according to the Allies, coen was supposed to the conquered in one day. they held it for 33 days.
great Britain was partly knocked out and the Soviets where suffering heavy losses. they would continue to do so too cause Hitler was dreaming of a mega tanks(the Panzerkampfwagen maus weight was 188 ton and the prototype was ready, the landkreuzer p.1000 ratte - 1000 ton, and the landkreuzer P.1500 monster 1500 ton. USA had no more atomic bombs while nazi germany would have rockets ready to hit new-york in less than a year.
