This is more out of curiosity than anything else, I just wanted to get other opinions on this.
I just moved out of an apartment with a roommate last week, after a VERY hairy situation with her. She said I still owe her $100 towards the rent for the last few days of June, which is fine, even though she overcharged me for months. This was 5 days ago, and I got a text message from her saying if she doesn't have the money in an envelope at her door by tonight, she will take it to court.
Now, I cannot stress enough that I DID agree to pay this (verbally) and WILL be leaving the money for her. I never refused (just so no one thinks I'm trying to find excuses to not pay her). But I was just wondering if it would even be worth it for her to take something so small to court. Just trying to gain a little knowledge on how it all works.
