Would soil from the woods be good to use in my garden?

The dark soil from the woods its compost basically right? Theirs lots of it in the woods behind my house.these woods look very clean,would it be safe to use in a garden?
parasites? termites? what do you think?
 
I think it would be fertile, but unless it's your property, it should stay where it is. Assuming you own it, do consider poison ivy or other dangers.
