Would Ritalin help my situation?

I am a freshman in college and my grades are slacking because I cannot focus on my studies by any means (Internet is the distractor) and I cannot let my grades get below a C or I'm out. I was thinking about going to get a diagnosis if I truly had a problem focusing or not, but based on this information does it sound like this prescription would benefit?
LOL so it doesn't make you work harder on your academics...
