Would performers of yesteryear approve of the remixes of their songs?

When Dolly Parton was asked about Whitney Houston making tons of money off "I Will Always Love You", which Dolly wrote, but also recorded, Dolly said "Go, Whitney. I get royalties and it costs a lot of money to look this cheap!" I doubt Elvis is rolling over in his grave, rather he's rock 'n rolling in it, since he's one of the top-ten dead guys still making tons of money.

Do you think all the dead singers and artists would be spinning in their graves with all the dance remixes of their tracks or do you think they would appreciate being remembered and sourced?

They would probably regret not making arrangements to secure the rights to their songs. It all depends on the time frame too, because some songs go into eminent domain and anyone can play around with them.
