Would like to talk about Parelli?

Ok I just read some answers to a previous question on here about Parelli and they were pretty much all bullshit answers from (guess who?) people who, admittedly, didn't know that much about Parelli in the first place.
And I've heard people say how much they hate Parelli and how his methods don't work or they don't work on every horse. Um hello? All horses respond the same way to the same stimuli. Fight or flight. They are all prey animals. The principles work on every horse. So don't pull that card.

I'll quote the man himself: "Most people who have opinions have never really seen what I've done."

Parelli is not about "waving an orange stick around." It's about the principles associated with using such a tool. You can call it a "whip" if you wish. Cause it's all about how you wanna use it. Parelli intends for it to be an extension of your arm. It is used to communicate with your horse. It's orange because carrots are orange....and carrots symbolize gentleness. So it's half gentle half stern...i.e. the "whip" part.
The 7 Games are based on the communication that all horses use i.e. the Friendly Game: rubbing/scratching,mutual grooming, Porcupine Game: biting/kicking, Driving Game: ears back, head low to the ground.
It's all about becoming a leader to your horse. The horses that win these "games" become the dominant/leaders or the herd.
Do you see how these principles work?
I've had a guy tell me that Clinton Anderson is so great and Parelli is crap. Well ya know what? As I listened to him talk, it was the SAME PRINCIPLES!!! And I believe that Clinton Anderson had mentored under Parelli himself.

Yeah Parelli is business man. Really though, what do you expect?? Wouldn't you want to be making a shit ton of money if you were in his shoes?? Doesn't everyone?
And you don't HAVE to buy his stuff. You can get stuff cheap off ebay or make your own. But you have to be careful to only get the ropes and halters that are the yachting braid and not the crappy nylon.
Anyways, it's not like money is all that Pat cares about. They recently created a University program to for students to carry on Pat's legacy and his vision for horsemanship in the years to come.

Idk about you guys, but when I first experienced Parelli 10 years ago at the Denver horse expo, I just saw Linda standing there with her Dutch warmblood going around her in a perfect circle with no lead line attached and I was sold.
IT IS NOT TRICKS. It looks like it though. You can call it tricks but what's behind it is the principles. Yielding to pressure, transitions, squeezing your horse thru all kinds of tight spaces, getting your horse so bombproof that it's fun to make stuff up and create obstacles to see if you can actually get a rise out of them.....its gets pretty creative. Parelli likes to use a green ball. It doesnt matter what you use.
By the way, the comment Julie made about pulling your horse's tail......that's not a "trick". That's advanced ----->getting your horse to be so responsive that at the slightest tug, he yields and moves backwards. Its the same as pulling on his head............except now it's his tail.

I'm sorry if this sounds like I"m trying to convert people to Parelli or I'm just ranting. But I saw some of the things people were saying and I really felt compelled to clear things up.
By NO means am i a blind follower of Parelli. And yes there ARE some things that he advocates that I do not agree with, and just like you, I'm not too thilled about all advertising. But I look past that and see all the wonderful things that can be done with horses and Parelli is legit.
I do keep an open mind. But I strongly feel that all the hate Parelli receives is really unjustified.
