So About 2 weeks ago I told my mom and sister I was pregnant. So happy and excited. Hubby and I came to my sisters house this past sunday to celebrate her birthday(this was going to be the day I announced pregnancy, but was too excited to wait). My moms friend was also there and hadnt heard about baby until we mentioned it to her while there. She was excited. Then litterally 5 minutes later, my sister announces she is getting married!
I know I'm probably over reacting and damn hormones are getting to me, but geez. I feel like my brand new news is now way old and trampled by my sisters. We talked about the wedding for the rest of the visit. My sister was even wondering if they should have the wedding either right before or right after the baby is born in May.
Do I have a right to feel slammed and like my news was not given any time for people to be excited about more than 5 minutes?
I am very happy for her. I'm really excited for both of us, and we dont really see eachother in person very often but I still feel over run. It is probably just me, and I do know its not all about me but I would like some positive attention from my family for a day every once in a while
