sport therapy or nutrition? Because I've heard that both these subjects contain biology. I studied sports science at A level BTEC, so I don't have any knowledge of biology whatsoever. Would it be beneficial for me to do a year foundation course in biology at university, so that when I do go onto the degree course I will be ready and have the knowledge.

i did a GNVQ Intermediate, then Advanced in Science at college in the late 90s

I got a merit at intermediate but BARELY passed my Advanced course (but thats cos my dumb ass studied an AS Level in Biochemistry on the side....got a 'D' in that). I remmeber how the college had closed...yet I was allowed to come in for an extra week (alone) , set up my experiment aparatus and finish off 2 assignments. I fancied the living hell out of my chemistry teacher though, shes was a FOX. she was my motivation to not suck at education. heh.

I got myself into University, but had to do a Foundation/HND orienatated 'step-up' course that led me onto a Bsc Honours degree.

I was pleased to see/find that some of my fellow 'degree students' had done 3 or more A levels and had landed themselves in the same course and same Uni as I did.

there are no easy ways to a destination in life, GNVQ , BTEC or A levels - the standard is really the same, I could have opted to do 2 A Levels and an AS level instead but I chose the GNVQ course thinking 'easy peasy assignments!' - yeah right.

you STILL nee dto study your bollocks off mate, and use your brain lmao.

the syalbus , or the stuf fthey taught me at GNVQ advanced was , to my surprise similar to the A levels , physics/cemistry and biology peers. we covered similar topics, just not as in depth as them. but we touched on all the hardest stuff they touch on, in our GNVQ assignments and then move onto other hard sh!t.

Biology is the study of living matter, and our bodies.

it would be an invaluable thing to study before you go onto sport therapy and nutrioun, as you'd know about the body and biological processes involved in chemical breakdown of nutrients in the body. would be a GREAT boost for you when you start a course on sport therpay or nutriiont.
