The reason why I am asking this is because I am very frustrated with their customer service and poor handling of their products. I bought a PS3 in January which had started to act up for no reason and started to scratch any discs it played. The problem surfaced back around August and since then I have been sending it back and forth for almost 3 months trying to get it fixed or replaced. I just received a replacement console today and it has the same problem only it seems to be a lot worse than before. I just found out that I will have to send it back for a fourth time for "repairs" with no guarantees yet of a working replacement model and they still do not know how to fix this issue. Due to the horrible service that I have gotten from Sony over this long period, would it be possible to sue them for damages or anything similar to this?
Most of the customer service people I spoke to have been rather unhelpful as well. They keep saying the only thing I can do is to keep sending back and forth and many of them keep coming up random explanations that it can't be fixed, will be fixed, will be replaced, or nothing will be done at all because they don't feel like helping me out.
My console is still under warranty and I have contacted the corporate number, the explanations I gave are what they gave to me.
I somehow make a mistake of posting this in the UK Yahoo answers I don't know how it happened, I'm actually in the US
