The rooms are not connected. The kitchen is a very pale yellow. It's so bright and cheerful in the kitchen. I'd like my living room to feel the same way.
you could paint the living room one or two shades darker to keep that bright feeling but a more suitable ambiance for a living area. you can also use throw pillows, vases ect in very bright colors to liven it up.
