When I get my first vehicle, I would like to get a sportsbike. My dads friend came over a couple days ago and he has a '98 Ducati 748. He let me ride it and it was pretty sick, it was very stable and definitely maneuverable. My parents are a little doubtful about the safety of such a vehicle, they believe it is dangerous. In my opinion, any vehicle is only as dangerous as you make it. The reason I want to get a motorcycle is because they are cheaper to purchase and insure and are more fuel-efficient. I am a responsible driver, I've been driving watercraft for 4 years in some of the busiest lakes in the state. I live in California, and if I do end up getting a Ducati 848 Evo, I would NOT do anything illegal as some bikers do such as break the speed limit, and I would not do anything stupid such as wheelies down our court. Thanks for your help!
PS I do understand that an 849cc is a very powerful engine, but I've been 6 liter cars and supercharged watercraft... I know how to restrain them
I know this might sound.. Crazy/irrelevant.. But I have ridden a bike down a hill at 30 mph and then I hit something and faceplanted on the road so I DO know how that feels.
