Would it be better to learn a language throughout High School or throughout

University? I've been thinking about this for a while. I know that I'll be busy throughout High School with assignments and stuff but I personally think it would be more logical to learn a language while in High School than while in University.

I want to learn Japanese. My parents think it would be better for me to learn Japanese during University. It takes 84 weeks to learn basic Japanese. So I'm predicting by the time I graduate from High School, I would be about fluent in Japanese. From what I know, University involves more homework than High School. My dream job is to also teach in Asia, so why not start while early? By the time I graduate High School, I would have learned almost fluent Japanese. Then during University I can learn Korean.
