...sexuality? I teach literature, and have had the privilege of teaching Walt Whitman, Allen Ginsberg, Arthur Rimbaud (in translation), Joe Orton, Virginia Woolf and other great, gay writers who have enriched our culture. I feel that it has spread tolerance among my students. I normally don't like to get too personal in the classroom as my students are high schoolers, but I have wanted for a long time to bring my partner David to class to introduce them to him as he is the love of my life. We have a loving, intimate and warm relationship that has lasted over the past four years, and I want my students to see that gays are also human, that we are loving, caring, nurturing people, so what do you think? Would it be a good or bad idea to introduce my partner to my students?
