I have one of the old Alltel prepaid plans. Since Alltel and Verizon merged, I'm now with Verizon, but I still have the Alltel plan. I want to buy a Blackberry, but I don't want a data plan and I know if you have a contract, you must purchase a data plan for Blackberrys and some other phones like that. So I was wondering if I bought a Blackberry, would I have to get a contract with Verizon so I would have to have the data plan, or could I keep my plan and buy the Blackberry and not have to worry about the data plan?
and I know it may seem stupid to buy a Blackberry without a data plan, but if I could find a cheap Blackberry I'd be happy
