Would I get in trouble if I confessed that I sexted?

I know it was stupid and ii hate myself for it. Very long story but, this guy who goes to a different school asked me for a nude and so I sent one and then he sent one. I showed it to 3 of my best friends which he was also texting and askin them for pics.But I didn't know at the time. Two day later he accused me of sending it to everyone and he said now the whole school knows. And I know I didn't do it because I know I didn't send it. And my friend asked if he sent it to anybody else and he said no only me. And now he's threatening me saying that he would send my picture around. And I know my friends didn't do it because they don't have picture messaging. And now I'm freaking out because I know I didn't do it. So I was thinking if I confessed first and told my parent and the police or something. Will I still get in trouble?
