Be totally honest and it isn't necessarily for just Londoners but if i went on the tube / metro / subway etc. with a normal (so not kiddie-sized) sized bike would you hate it.
I would go during off-peak hours.
And it is allowed on the underground.
I'm not going to spend on a folding bike although now i realise they would be pretty helpful - i'll think about that next time I buy a bike.
