I am a senior in high school and plan on continuing my education hopefully at the University of Iowa or Iowa State University. I am going to fill the FASFA form out in the next couple of days but want a good opinion on my chance of having a good amount of my college paid for. Here is some of my basic background info: I am a minority, I live in a home with a single parent, my mother's annual income is no more than $36k a year, I get free lunches at school, I am in HAWK-I( Gov't medical assist), I will meet the requirements to get accepted into ISU and UofI, my mother's highest level of education: High School Diploma/Father: Junior High/Middle School, I am a legal resident of the USA. I hope this is some helpful information. I have come from a tough background but get decent grades and a ACT score that will get me accepted into a 4 year university. I don't come from a wealthy background and neither parent or grandparent has gone to college, I would be the 1st in many generations of my immediate family. Do you guys think I'll have a good chance of getting alot of help from Financial Aid for college? Thanks Guys!
