Would I be able to install a hood ornament on an 84 Dodge Ramcharger?

Im buying a 1984 Dodge Ramcharger and its missing the Ram hood ornament (was never built in) so I was wondering if I was able to find one, then how hard would it be to drill in and install?

Also, how good of a year was the 84? All I ever see or hear about is the 1990 edition. And as much as I would love to have that one, I cant find any in my price range.

Also, I have no Idea if the ram is a 'slant 6', all I know is its a '1984 Dodge Ramcharger AW-100 5.2l'. If that is the Slant 6 then how can I protect the distributer from water splashing? I live in NE and more often then not I drive in a lot of rain with a lot of wet roads and mud (great for muddin though)
 
yes those are real easy to install on those trucks, you,ll need a good drill and be sure and get the nuts that go behind it to hold it on with,and just mark out where you want to add it and drill the holes and install it,the 5.2 engine is a 318 and a real good engine to have in that truck,its not a slant six engine,good luck.

very easy installation. it takes 2 or 3 holes depending on which ornament you want to put on it. the ornaments come with a drilling pattern to layout where the holes need to be.

All the dodge truck where as tough as nails . the only bad about the older dodges (60-70) was the looks but the '84 is a great truck. the only bad about any of the engines is that if you have the "slant 6" the distributor gets wet if you hit a big puddle of water. but it is a good engine and so is the 318 and the 360.
