Where Clinton will go down as being the Catalyst behind this horrid economy... GM was broken long before Clinton started his reign of missteps for the future of the country. The collapse of GM, is a direct reflection of inept management and an out of control union.

So many facets of our economy are tied together that I even think that Clinton's repeal of the finance/banking conrols in 1999, when he repealed parts ot the Glass Steagall Act, could have had an effect. Simply because the banking meltdown affected so much of our consumer confidence. The other part was summer-time gas prices, which couldn't be blamed on Clinton.
