I'm about to graduate from college in a year with a Bachelor's in English. I would join the college's paper but I live several hours from the school and I could possibly be a rather unreliable worker so I was wondering if papers that I've had to write for my college courses would be suitable for a portfolio if I wanted to get into a job in journalism or something like it? (As a side not, I'm not certain that's the field I want to go into, it's just me trying to figure out what to do with my Bachelor's)
