teacher? I am currently trying to figure out what I want to do with my life. I have always wanted to work with children or in health care. I also have an interest in sign language and hearing disabilities. I was thinking about becoming an audiologist, however I am not interested in spending half of my life in school, and seeing as you need to have a doctoral degree for that occupation (or will need to by 2018) that job doesn't seem like the right fit for me.
So I was thinking about my interests and thought, what if I became a teacher and learned sign language and went a taught at a school for deaf children.
My question is, would this pay more than a regular teaching job would since these schools are most likely private schools which are paid for by the parents? Money isn't everything to me, I was just wondering.
