Would an Economics major be suitable for a student who's strenghts are not math and science?

I'm a freshman in college currently not enrolled in any math classes this semester but have went up to Pre-Calculus in High School. I'm good at writing (particularly creative, but I'm flexible) and enjoy doing so, Additionally, sociology and political science interests me to various degrees. However, I don't see any careers that seem they will provide a good salary. Economics appears interesting. I believe I would like to understand relationships and theories, but am unsure how heavily mathematical content is embedded in the material (assuming I went to Graduate School). In High School I was a solid B student in math (the only class I wasn't in accelerated positions in) and a low B in science. Is economics as simple as interpreting graphs and trends extensively and predicting the future, and does it include extensive calculations outside of basic set formulas?
