I have been accepeted to a top 25 liberal arts college and was wondering if a shy kid can be a great fit at a liberal arts college. I feel that if i go somewhere small, I dont have to be as aggressive to meet new people, know my proffessors, and find ways to get involved. I am terrible at public speaking but going to a large university wont help me that much since I will just be a face in the crowd. If i am willing to overcome my shyness. So would a big university be the choice or a small liberal arts college with less than 2000 kids? Also I would like to know how much you have to participate in class discussions. I never really contributed to class disccusions in high school because I am shy and also because I am usually apathetic with everything we talk about. I dont know what i like so I am trying to discover something i have passions for which is another reason why I want to go to a LAC. Lastly in liberal arts colleges do we read essays out loud and critique each other.
