would a degree in computer science qualify you for an astronomy major?

I'm wanting to major in astronomy, and I want to start at a community college to save money, but there isn't an associate's degree for astronomy at the school im looking at. They have intro to astronomy and physics courses, but not a degree.

Could I get a C.S. in Computer Science and take a lot of math courses (or AA in Math and take computer science courses), and still qualify for an astronomy program for my B.A.?

Would that method ever be recommended over an AA in Astronomy?

Also, how would getting a CS degree (career program) instead of an AA (transfer program) affect things?
