would a colour remover remove a dark brown hair dye out of blonde hair?

Thinking of buying a colour remover to remove a dark brown permenant dye, ive got light bleach blonde hair under the brown which i would like to remove. The brown is seriously faiding and i would like my blonde back, preferably without going to the the hairdressers. Will pick a best answer
