My computer does just fine except for when I try playing certain flash games on addicting games and even certain flash ads slow my computer down a lot. I'd hate to have to buy a whole new computer just for little flash games. I heard that adobe flash player 10 uses GPU acceleration so I want to know if a better graphics card would help.
My current graphics card is an Nvidia Geforce2 MX/MX with 32MB vRAM. That doesn't meet the requirement of 128MB of vRAM for Adobe flash player 10 GPU acceleration.
I found a Geforce 6200 AGP graphics card with 128MB of vRAM on ebay for $15 including shipping. This does meet the requirement for flash player 10 and it's really cheap.
My computer is a Dell Dimension 8100 desktop with an Intel Pentium 4 1700MHz CPU, 512MB of RD RAM, Geforce2 MX/MX 32MB graphics card, a 250GB SATA Hard drive, and a 40GB ATA 100 hard drive. The SATA has Windows on it and the version of Windows is XP SP3.
gbanks, when you said the better graphics card greatly improved your performance what did you mean? What did it improve? Did it make your whole computer just faster in general or just in PC games? I also want to be clear that I'm talking about the Flash player and not regular PC games.
