no its the republican of tactic of being in power to help big CEO corporation that they support and ran their campaign...

do not vote republican

vote obama

What you people fail to recognize is that it is not just the income tax that Obama's plans will affect. It won't simply be 3-4%.

There is much, much more for businesses to consider.

How about a 4%...a 5%...maybe 5.5% or 6%? For a lot of people the answer is YES...how do you justify any excess tax in a time when we need domestic growth?

A lot of people seem to think Bill Gates would never had started Microsoft if he was facing a tax increase. It's a patently absurd thought.

Nope...that is why this whole issue is ridiculous. It is meant to sway the uninformed and the weak minded.

EDIT: To those saying "There is much more than just income tax to consider"...no there is not. I have a small business of my own. SS is negligible compared to the income taxes you pay. I'm not at the 250k mark yet...but maybe in a couple years...and you know what...the 3% is not discouraging me from growing my business. I know I am lucky to have what I have...I'm not going to complain about it.

No

If my business were to make $250,000 a year, it's a difference of $7,500 in taxes, or only $625 a month. That's hardly one employee's earnings for a year...unless I pay them in cr@p.

Depending on your yearly income it can be the difference between hiring and firing employees.

It can also be the difference between making a profit and filing bankruptcy.

The real question should be, "When Obama realizes he can't pay for the things he promised, will he lower that level to 200k or maybe 150k?"

That will start to affect a lot of households.

It is not just a 3% hike.

Most businesses operate with a less than 10% profit margin. That means for every $1 in sales, they make 10 cents.

To pay the extra 3%, the business will have to cut expenses or increase sales by 30%--that is just to stay even.

Now, realize Obama and the Democrats have vowed to let the tax cuts expire, so add another "just" 3%.

Now add in the fact they have promised to increase the costs for utilities, gasoline and health insurance. Within a short time, businesses will have to double their sales or halve their expenses, just to stay even.

So, if your boss has to cut 50% of his expenses, where do you think he is going to cut first? Hint-employees are always the most expensive part of business.

Plus, add to the fact that when businesses raise their rates, it gives US ALL a paycut. Just like when minimum wage is increased, it effectively gives everyone of us that has worked their way up past minimum wage a pay cut.

Money does not grow on trees and if you take it away from one person, he will take it away from another.

Funny, I don't hear the savior talking about stopping trade with China, nor reducing government employees pay & benefits to match AVERAGE Americans.

If Obama and the Democrats only pass a small portion of their tax and spend plans, this downturn is going to get real ugly, real fast.

You all need to do yourselves a favor and go back and study the Carter years and see how long it took us to fix 4 short years of those policies.

I know you all think the economy was grand under Clinton, but it wasn't due to anything Clinton did. It was due to a multi-trillion dollar industry that was temporary. Y2K. Once the clock change occured, the good times stopped. Virtually overnight.

Anyone, including a 2 year old, could have created the same great economy with that reality. And Clinton didn't have a "budget surplus" he stole money from Social Security thus screwing any of us under the age of 50.

Cripes people, if taxes and bigger governemnt equaled prosperity then Gary Indiana, Detroit Michigan and Los Angeles would be Mecca.

Wake up.
