I have had a bad experience of buying a used car and it being junk so I have been thinking of going with a brand new 2009 ninja 250. I don't have experience buying bikes so I think mechanically it might be best going with a brand new bike. However I have been told that being a new rider I am going to dump it and I would hate to buy a nice new bike then dump it and mess it all up. Are these bikes good to get for a first time rider? and do you think it would be best for me to get something like this or a older bike. I am taking a safety course to learn to ride before a buy a bike. I don't really have the money to buy a clunker that either needs to be repaired soon or that doesn't last. Thanks for any input or advice you can give thanks.
