would 2008 Vulcan 900 Custom be good bike for me to start out on?

im 16. 145 pounds. ive rode 200cc dirt bike for couple years. done motorcycle course and aced riding part. i dont want ride small motorcyle then sell. economy is down and cost to much in title transfer and plates.
weight only 550. i think i can
