We are in the market for a 2nd car we can use very locally and our mechanic of several years bought his client's car and is selling it for $3200. It's a 1999 Honda Civic EX with 190,000. He just added a new head gasket and timing belt and will have it smog checked. Interior is very clean, body has no dents, bumper has some peeling paint. It's not a salvage title or anything like that. Car has been in one small rear end collision and that's it. We trust our mechanic but wondered if this price is just too high for such high miles? Kelly blue book says it's worth $3300 (wow, Honda's really retain their value). Any thoughts on this deal?
