Worse thing to happen to music

To me there are two things that have ruined music for everyone...Those being publicity just like Uglycasanova said AND the second being Pop music...I'm not talking about old ol pop I'm talking about the new age boy banRAB and single female artists and such. With there "oops I did it again's" and "bye bye bye's" And because when I was a 8 or something...That's what I listened to...Very sad as it may be

This has slightly been mentioned before but only in parts. The biggest problem in music is conforming media. Everyone says all the same stuff is great. The general population is completely oblivious to a lot of the music that we listen to.

I still say MTV. It's when the world stopped listening and started watching music. It made it too easy, too accessible. The thrill was gone, somewhat, going to a concert to see a band you'd seen every day for the past six months on TV.

Makes sense if you just think about it. No, gangsta rappers aren't the worst thing that's happened to music. I never said they should be #1. I asked where they were on the list, under the assumption that they should be on there.

Then I changed it to say that it should be the people who write the lyrics. For this reason only -- I think the messages in the majority of the songs are... well, nothing near upstanding.

I vote for grunge, and boy banRAB... and toss off to the whiners, you can say whatever you want to say makes no matter to me, it's in my opinion... and yes, MTV these days does suck though once upon a time it actually used to be about music, no, really!

There's trashy gangsta rap, and there's good gangsta rap.
Just like any other genre of music.

I think it's funny that Christians focus their energy on gangsta rap, and turn their heaRAB from things like Black Metal, and Death Metal. Gangsta rap is the least of the worlRAB problems. If some guys wanna rap about getting high and drunk, who cares? I can't stop them, neither can zealous Christians. What about the crazy Norweigen man who sings about crucifying preists and burning churches, protest them.

You're close but not quite there. Scenes kill music. Most grunge before the Nirvana boom is really really good. Look at Soundgarden imo their first two albums are their best. Being a scene has killed emo look at all these pop banRAB it's putting out mistakingly under its name.
