Hi, for the past 2 years I have been having this white throat, which has been painful when swallowing.

THe last week, it has become really bad, and caused me to have chest pains.

I went to hospital and they did a chest Xray, CT and blood tests aswell as a CRG. They said my heart and lungs all looked normal, and they had a quick look down my throat and said it looked okay.

However, the chest pains have now gone (they said it was stress related, to worrying about my throat)yet my throat still hurts.

They said it might be in my mind because they cant see anything. But I really think its too painful to be just in my mind. WHat do you suggest??

P.S I had morphine for the chest pain last night (24 hours ago) adn am still really dizzy, could it be after effects?

P.S.S I have previously had testicular cancer, and have marfans syndrome

If the problem is primarily with your throat why not see an ENT (ear nose and throat specialist). If he/she tells you there is nothing wrong then maybe it would help to find a way to reduce your worrying. There are some natural substances that can help to calm and relieve stress, if this turns out to be the problem.

All the best,

Jen
