I have had a pelvic twist for some time and managed but my job involved lifting and the problem has now reached such extremities that i am no longer able to work.
I have had possibly too many chiropractic sessions to the movement where my pelvis will no longer stay in place and am not able to pick up even a pint of beer. I have had an MRI Scan which has determined that the problem is not linked to anything in my vertebrae. But of course the problem is in L4,L5,S1. I have in the past had prolotherapy injections (sclerosent) which have helped but now it seems do not have any effect. My chiropractor out of concern has refused to 'put me straight' without a 4 week break to let things settle down? So now I have extreme pain spasmodically on either side of my back to down one leg or the other (sciatica).
I can live with the pain at present but have now got to the point where I am afraid of doing anything because in effect the muscles and or ligaments/tendons are so weak and or possibly scarred that my pelvis keeps coming out of alignment. When it is in the right position the pain is immediately alleviated.
With it being out all the time walking swimming, exercises etc are out of the question but I have had a recent injection and this is what i'm supposed to do. (the chicken and egg situation). Can anyone think of a viable alternative therapy to get the muscles/ligaments to strengthen again. Thanks
