worms?

hi all. im wondering if this is a worm-i looked up pictures of them but didnt see any that looked like this but it looks pretty worm-like. if it is, should i set up an appointment with my doctor or just go and get an over the counter treatment? i actually kept it in a tissue and put it in a ziploc bag in case i should take it in or something? :confused: thanks for any help you guys can give.
